Thats really something I recognize. I have some 3+ old scleral lenses (each costing about 750 Euros to make) and 1, maybe 2 RGP lenses lying around.
A corneal transplant doesn’t necessarily mean there won’t be any more old lenses to collect, as the cornea changes in response to healing and removing of sutures it is likely that new lenses are needed. I just received note of my contact lens specialist that my third RGP lens has been received from the factory, not that I am going to wear it soon as I am still recovering from a (luckily) supressed rejection.
